Owl Ventures, the largest EdTech venture capital firm globally with over $2 billion assets under management, announced the promotion of Jenny Wang to Partner.

Jenny joined the Owl team as an MBA intern in 2019 and has been an outstanding team member and contributor to Owl since. Over the past five years, she has sourced and diligenced numerous investments for the firm, made a significant impact in her board roles as a mentor and advisor to entrepreneurs, and most recently led the expansion efforts into Europe by launching Owl’s London office. Jenny works closely with several of Owl’s portfolio companies, including Hazel Health, Preply, StudySmarter, and AnswersNow. She is frequently called upon as a panelist and thought leader in edtech and has served as an invaluable thought partner to the team.

Jenny received her M.B.A from Stanford Graduate School of Business, where she was an Arbuckle Leadership Fellow, and her M.A. in Education from Stanford Graduate School of Education. Jenny was also a Fellow with Education Pioneers.
Before joining Owl, Jenny was an investor at Soros Fund Management, where she evaluated and executed growth equity and buyout opportunities across sectors. Prior to Soros, she was an investment banker at Barclays where she advised clients on cross border M&A transactions.

Jenny is a first-generation immigrant who has experienced first-hand the difference that a quality education can make in someone’s life and is fully committed to investing in organizations that are making significant advancements in improving the quality, accessibility, and reach of education.

“Jenny exemplifies consummate teamwork and leads by example with humility and grace. Her boundless passion, dedication, and energy for investing, edtech, and Owl are evident each and every day,” says Ian Chiu, Managing Director and Partner at Owl Ventures.

“Education changed my life and opened doors that once seemed out of reach for me and my family. Our work at Owl is deeply personal for me, and I am grateful for the opportunity to continue partnering with passionate and innovative founders who are dedicated to advancing education for all,” said Jenny Wang.
