Award-winning EdTech company ubiMaster has raised €7 million in a Series A funding round to accelerate its growth and international expansion. The round attracted leading investors including US-based Owl Ventures, Bayern Kapital, amberra, Auxxo, as well as European EdTech-focused firms Zanichelli Ventures and MPA Capital.

All participating investors recognize ubiMaster’s transformative potential and are committed to supporting its growth as a leading education company in Germany and beyond. The new funding will drive market expansion and the development of new digital learning solutions.

In today’s world, families often face challenges when trying to support their children’s learning outside of school—especially when both parents are working. Traditional tutoring options are often expensive and difficult to fit into busy schedules.
ubiMaster was founded to address these challenges: Its innovative digital platform connects students across the German-speaking region with certified tutors via chat or video call—anytime, anywhere. Whether students need help with classroom material, completing homework or preparing for examinations, qualified tutors are available to support students from grade 5 onwards in all core subjects. Students can also practice independently and test their knowledge through interactive exercises on the platform.

ubiMaster operates on a unique partnership model: companies, foundations, banks, and publishers cover the cost of tutoring on ubiMaster for their employees, making high-quality private academic support accessible to students from all social backgrounds. In this way, educational support becomes a part of these institutions’ social responsibility— and a powerful tool to promote equal opportunity across society.

Jana Krotsch, CEO and founder of ubiMaster, emphasizes: “ubiMaster is far more than just online learning support to us. It’s a vision for the future of education. Our tutoring is flexible, individualized, unlimited, and tailored to the needs of each child. And the best part: for anyone who receives ubiMaster as a benefit through their employer or product partnership, it’s completely free. With this new funding round, we can further invest in the development of ubiMaster.”
The participating investors share ubiMaster’s ambitious vision and commitment to expanding educational opportunity for all children and young people.

Jenny Wang, Partner at Owl Ventures, comments: “We have been supporting ubiMaster as an investor since 2022 and are proud of the incredible impact ubiMaster is having on families in the DACH region. We are looking forward to continuing to support Jana, Steffen, and the entire team at ubiMaster, in this exciting next chapter.”
